My work focuses on the transformation of symbols of power related to women into signs of submission […] How many women, like their blood, have to hide, turning their voices into whispers?

I choose to draw an icon of femininity and feminine force. This tattoo in my own flesh is my medal, not a medal-object but a medal nonetheless, if not as recognition at least as reminder of the values I had decided to extol.

The medal presented is a representation of that iconic symbol, a stencil that allows it to be drawn in the body or clothes and other material as one chooses. It can be worn as a necklace but its main use is that of model for multiple manifestations by anyone who wishes.

The medal I created celebrates women’s shameless power.
